Jordan's Electronic Repair

Frequently Asked Questions

Straightforward answers about appointments, pricing, parts, warranties, diagnostics, privacy, and model identification.

Appointments and location

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Submit a repair request or contact Jordan first. A request is not confirmed until you receive a response.

Where do I drop off my device?

Drop-off is appointment-only in the Brighton area. The exact address is provided after the request is reviewed and approved.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You may cancel or reschedule without a fee before the device is accepted and before a special-order part is ordered. Please provide notice as soon as possible. Repeated missed appointments may require prepayment or affect future availability.

Do you offer pickup or mobile service?

It may be available for an additional mileage-based fee. Review the service area and ask for availability.

Pricing and parts

Are listed prices final?

Prices are confirmed after exact-model and condition verification. Applicable sales tax is additional unless expressly stated. Hidden damage or additional required work is discussed before continuing.

What does special order mean?

Special-order parts require a deposit equal to part cost, applied to the final balance. Once ordered, the deposit is generally nonrefundable unless the part cannot be obtained, the business cancels service, or law requires a refund.

When is final payment due?

Final payment is due at pickup or return of the device. A device is not released until the outstanding balance is paid.

How long are completed or declined devices held?

Please collect the device within 30 days after notice that the repair is complete or service is declined. Any later abandonment process is handled only in accordance with applicable Colorado law; 30 days does not automatically transfer ownership.

Warranty

What warranty is provided?

Standard modular repairs include a one-year limited workmanship and replacement-part warranty. Board-level repairs include 90 days. Liquid-damage stabilization includes 30 days, reflecting the unpredictable nature of corrosion and prior exposure.

What is excluded?

Coverage does not include new or additional physical damage, cracks, bends, crushing, liquid exposure, misuse, unauthorized or third-party work, unrelated component failure, data loss, software problems, normal wear, or conditions outside the repaired part or service. Warranty eligibility requires inspection of the device.

Privacy and diagnostics

Should I submit my passcode?

No. Never enter device or account passwords in the website form. Any access needed for testing is handled through the approved intake process.

Will water resistance remain?

Opening a device can affect factory water-resistance ratings. Replacement seals may be installed where applicable, but original water resistance cannot be guaranteed.

Preparing and paying for service

Should I back up my data?

Yes, whenever the device is accessible. Repair work does not include a guarantee against data loss, and important files should be backed up before service.

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash, cards, Venmo, Zelle, and contactless payments are accepted.

Can you repair something that is not listed?

Possibly. Other electronics and specialized faults are reviewed case by case based on parts availability, repair risk, equipment, and device value.

Why is the address not displayed publicly?

Service is appointment-only. The private Brighton-area drop-off address is provided after a request is reviewed and an appointment is confirmed.

Should I repair or replace my device?

Jordan considers repair cost, device condition, parts availability, data importance, and likely remaining value. Honest replacement or referral guidance is provided when repair may not make sense.
